The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury having been in communication with the Postmaster General on the subject matter of Mr. Bramston's letter of the 27th Ultimo, vizt: the application of the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company for permission to land at Hong Kong one end of a submarine cable connecting that Colony and Tonquin, and they now desire to transmit herewith, to be laid before the Secretary of State, copy of a report received from the Postmaster General, and state that they fully concur in the opinion therein expressed.
